BABE RUTH LEAGUE TEAMS WITH ASEP & CAL RIPKEN BASEBALL FOR COACHES CERTIFICATION
Babe Ruth League has teamed up with Ripken Baseball and the American Sports Education Program (ASEP) to provide the
best training possible for youth baseball and softball coaches. Starting in 2008, Babe Ruth League mandated coaches
certification through the ASEP program for all league managers. Additionally, proof of certification became
an official tournament team credential for the team manager and all coaches for 2008 post-season play. ASEP offers
a separate course in baseball and softball but coaches that are involved in both sports only need one certification.
The course is inexpensively priced at $19.95 and is valid for lifetime. Many leagues offer to pay or share the cost
with coaches in order for them to receive their certification. Visit the Babe Ruth coaching web site for more info
on the certification program as well as to register and complete the certification course in your choice of either
baseball or softball. Check with your local league administrator first to see if your league has purchased in bulk
certification courses that may be allocated to you. Course registration and certification is all done online.
